Congratulations to John Malcolm who has been awarded the Canadian Association of Physicists Division of Condensed Matter and Materials Physics (DCMMP) PhD thesis award for his thesis and talk on "The role of pseudospin in the optical and electronic properties of relativistic materials". The award competition was held during the 2017 CAP Congress [1] at Queen's University, Kingston, from May 29th to June 2nd.
John is also the college (CEPS) nominee for the D.F. Forster Graduation Medal "for a convocating PhD student, who excels both academically and in extra-curricular activities."
