In the current issue of "the Portico": Professors Vladimir Ladizhansky and Leonid Brown discuss how their research team has perfected ways to determine the structure of large proteins found in cell membranes throughout the body. This research could lead to the design of better remedies for heart disease and other ailments. The group's paper titled "Solid-state NMR spectroscopy structure determination of a lipid-embedded heptahelical mebrane protein [1]" was published in September 2013 in Nature Methods.
